This is an odd and interesting poster from the incredible hand of psychedelic master Lee Conklin. This marvelous original printing poster promoted a June 1969 run of shows featuring Country Weather at The Barn in Rio Nido. The artist also created one of his most desirable and valuable posters of the genre for a Grateful Dead show that occurred 1 week later and was at this same venue. This piece is equally if not more scarce that the Dead poster which currently trades at skyrocketing high values.
We’ve only offered this rare issue twice prior back in March 2011 one realized $1 018 in our auction. The other was a Mint "93" graded example which realized $1725 in our August 2018 auction. This extremely scarce issue seldom surfaces at public auctions in ANY condition. The example is in very clean condition with no tears or pinholes! See details below.
