The Electric Circus nightclub in New York City was a popular music venue during the late sixties which promoted "playing games dress as you like dance sit think tune in and turn on". The Velvet Underground (their performances under Andy Warhol's influence) The Doors The Allman Brothers Band and The Grateful Dead all performed there.
This poster promoting the venue designed by artist Jacqui Morgan in 1967 is widely considered one of the most influential graphic design masterpieces of the era. She passed away in 2013 but is remembered as being one of the first successful female commercial illustrators in the US. A legendary poster by a legendary artist of a legendary venue!
