Howlin’ Wolf.  Howlin’ Wolf is hailed as one of the greatest electric blues players of all time. Originally hailing form the south he rose to fame in the 1950’s Chicago blues scene.. This poster is from April 1967 in September of that same year Howlin’ Wolf would collaborate with Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters on the Chess Records Super Super Blues Band album.

Peter Bailey who was also responsible for the very first Bill Graham poster designed this poster.  Artist Wes Wilsons tenure as the primary poster artist for Graham was coming to an end at this point in the series and other artist were starting to work for the irascible promoter.
