Here we have a relic from one of the more exciting events in the history of Rock and Roll. This original first printing poster is the FIRST CGC Graded example from this series to ever appear in our auction!
Originally billed as the Trans continental Pop festival this cross country tour made stops in three Canadian cities to stage a show with the Grateful Dead The Band Janis Joplin and other acts of the day. This poster advertises the McMahon Stadium concerts in Calgary on July 4-5 1970!
The real story however was the train that carried the musicians across Canada during that summer. The camaraderie led to an outrageous non-stop party/ jam session. The joy is forever captured in the 2003 Film “Festival Express”.
