This magnificent handbill for a cancelled Family Dog show at the Avalon is described by noted concert poster expert and historian Eric King as “The quintessential psychedelic poster”! The central image is borrowed from a 19th century painting by Viennese Painter Franz Von Stuck. This image is a re-occurring theme in the Avalon series with this being its initial use.
