John Severson’s 1970 film "Pacific Vibrations" is highly regarded as one of the top surfer movies of the era. The original promotional handbill was designed by the master Rick Griffin and used to advertise the film’s release. Filmmaker John Severson also internationally famous for his work with Surfer Magazine sadly passed away a couple years ago. Here's a short clip which features Severson discussing the creation of Rick's artwork gracing the front of this rare handbill which quickly became a cultural "sea-change" icon! After watching this you gotta ask yourself how you can live without an example of this original handbill in your collection!
