This poster is a relic from one of the more exciting events in the history of Rock and Roll. Originally billed as the Trans continental Pop festival this cross country tour made stops in three Canadian cities to stage a show with the Grateful Dead The Band Janis Joplin and other acts of the day.

The real story however was the train that carried the musicians across Canada in the summer of 1970. The camaraderie led to an outrageous non-stop party/ jam session. The joy is forever captured in the 2003 Film “Festival Express”

This poster was used as an advertisement for ticket sales in Buffalo New York for the Toronto stop on the tour. There are two stickers that read; Tickets Available at BUFFALO FESTIVAL TICKET OFFICE Statler Hilton Hotel 854-7173 Buffalo New York 1420
