Rick Griffin: Gospel of John magazine (90's reprint) Coasta Mesa CA 8 1/4 x 10 7/8" (24pgs). The Gospel of John a 100% Rick Griffin illustrated 1980 magazine from Christian organization 'The Word For Today'. This is a reprint issue from the late 90's.
Rick Griffin: CounterMedia Magazine 3 issues. 1990 1991 1992 Portland OR. Each Measure 5-1/2x9-1/2" Booklets. Three issues of the EXTREMELY scarce publication “CounterMedia Magazine” featuring Griffin historian Dennis Wheary's comprehensive listings of Rick Griffin's published output which were serially published as "GETTING GRIFFIN". Issue #4 (Fall 1990) features "Chapter 4: The Comix” with 6 pages of info & illustrations. Issue #5 (Summer 1991) features "Chapter 5: Record Covers” with 5 pages of info & illustrations. Issue #7(Winter1992/3) features "Chapter 6 Surfer Magazine" with 8 pages of info & illustrations. Note of interest: Issue #7 was under legal threat by Rick's widow Gina Marie Griffin so the feature was authored under the pseudonym "Penis Weary". Details of the legal threat are included and interesting for Griffin-heads!
