Attention Stones collectors! We are pleased to offer this rare early Rolling Stones handbill for the first time in our auction! Also this is the FINEST Quality known example we have ever seen auctioned anywhere before.

It’s hard to believe this old treasure has survived perfectly intact all these years. This 1965 original handbill is from the group’s Fall North American Tour for a concert they performed at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on December 3rd. But this was not just any show.

This particular date is significant in the Stones history books. Legend has it that Keith Richards almost died that night onstage when he was accidentally electrocuted due to his guitar equipment not being grounded properly. During the 4th song of their set the neck of his guitar touched the steel microphone stand and he was thrown 5 feet into the air. There was a loud popping sound a flash of blue light and he was knocked unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital and recovered completely apparently because the rubber soles in the shoes he was wearing saved his life!

The Rolling Stones are synonymous with Rock ‘n Roll and therefore their early material is highly sought after across the globe. This Superb Museum Quality piece is in a different universe in regards to both quality history and desirability! Not to mention original handbills are red hot!
