We are delighted to offer this rarely seen 1971 small run poster from the history of the Grateful Dead. In late winter 1971 The Dead brought their show to the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. This show was performed during one of many creative high points for the Dead.   It was just a few months after the release of Workingman’s Dead  & American Beauty when the band was busy integrating these ageless tunes into their repertoire.

Grateful Dead posters Poster from small capacity college auditoriums and gymnasiums are truly treasured finds as very few exist today. Posters like this rarely come up for public sale and are snapped up quickly by knowledgeable collectors of this great American musical phenomenon.

This poster was received from the grandson of the artist who had preserved this incredibly limited piece of art for decades. Posters like this have very little track record as very few copies still exist.
