This advertisement that was created by master poster artist Gary Grimshaw was made for a January 1973 production of the Who’s Tommy by the Pioneer Talent group at Eastern Michigan University.
The Rock Opera “Tommy” is one of the most memorable and well-known works in the history of rock music. The 1969 Pete Townsend Opus has given light to several interpretations since its creation. They include the 1971 Seattle Opera version a 1972 orchestral rendition the 1975 Feature film as well as the 1993 Broadway show.
