5 Ron Cobb Ecology Related Political Cartoon Cards. One is gatefold card measuring 4-7/8" square from 1970 and four are gatefold cards measuring 5” square from 1971. Sawyer Press Los Angeles CA. Number 1 of the 35 piece series of 1970 is on Orange stock. Numbers 3 7 8 & 9 of the 25 piece 1971 series all on white stock. Ron Cobb was the most famous Political Cartoonist of the Counterculture and was featured regularly in numerous underground newspapers. He also designed the cover for Jefferson Airplane's 1967 album “After Bathing at Baxter's”.
1 Clifford Humphrey Historic 1968 Ecology Action Essay Berkeley CA - 8 1/2 x 11" (3 pages) Seminal early document at the founding of the ECOLOGY MOVEMENT. “The Ecological Perspective” is an essay by the founder of the National Organization Ecology Action Clifford Humphrey. This is an identity paper for what would become a worldwide movement. Formed as a splinter group within The Peace & Freedom Party material such as this was used to explain what "Ecology" was and why it mattered.
