Derek and the Dominos material is highly sought after due to the small amount of posters & handbills produced during their short but important timeline together. Hot on the heels of Blind Faith Eric Clapton performed with Delaney Bonnie & Friends which consisted of future members of what would become Derek and the Dominos. Dave Mason and George Harrison also appeared in early jam sessions during the birth of the band. Probably most noteworthy is the inclusion of Duane Allman into the fold during August 1970.
This rare original handbill is from two shows the band played in November the month “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” was released. Allman did not perform at these shows with the band and his only 2 live appearances with the group were in December. Scarce Clapton related material is among the most desirable items issued and this piece is sure to enjoy spirited bidding from collectors looking to add a historic handbill to their collection! In August 2018 a lower graded example graded "Excellent 75" reached $489 in our auction.
