This MINT original Talking Heads COLBY Printing Cardboard Poster is being offered for the FIRST TIME in our auction! Talking Heads were one of the most original and entertaining bands of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. This night in 1982 at the historic Greek Theatre was part of their summer United States tour supporting the release of the live album "The Name of This Band is Talking Heads". We have never seen this “Once In A Lifetime” poster appear at public auction in this Superb Museum Quality Condition!
The historic Colby Poster Printing Company produced promotional material between 1948 and 2012 and they became legendary for their signature fluorescent inks and bold all-caps typography although none of the original staff had any formal design training. They were members of the letterpress union the screen printers union and the typesetters union. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.
