This is the FIRST TIME we’ve offered this Original Doors Handbill in our auction! It’s the point in the band’s career when they had already gained national attention. A few months prior they had made their debut on live TV’s Ed Sullivan Show and their second album “Strange Days” had already been released exciting fans across the country.
On this night in Berkeley Iron Butterfly opened for the Doors (early and late shows). Archive information states that the legendary Jim Morrison departed from the usual set list and recited his poetry from "The Celebration of The Lizard" during several songs.
Doors material is amongst the most sought after in the marketplace. Our records show this scarce Handbill rarely surfaces in public auctions in ANY condition. This piece is Super Clean with no tears or pin holes! We expect lively bidding on this scarce gem!
