This is the FIRST example of this iconic poster to appear in our auction! The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester New York is a legendary concert space to this day and in its heyday the venue featured performances by Pink Floyd The Grateful Dead Janis Joplin Parliament-Funkadelic and Traffic. In 1975 the theatre was shut down due to a new village ordinance that prohibited live entertainment after 1 a.m. The venue remained closed until 1984. It is still considered today as one of the most amazing places to see live music.

The poster you see here was produced to promote the final week run of concerts at the venue before it closed in mid-1975. If that were not enough to make this collectible issue a part of musical history the line up of performers is certainly worthy of note! This was the first year for Fleetwood Mac's new legendary line-up featuring Buckingham and Nicks. Slide-Guitar master Bonnie Raitt performed on the same night as all-star bluesmen Buddy Guy & Junior Wells. Wow!

And perhaps MOST important is a very early appearance by the epic prog-rock power trio Rush! They had just released their second album “Fly By Night” a couple months prior. It was the first record with their new drummer and lyricist the marvelous Neil Peart! Super early Rush material is extremely difficult to find and we get requests from collectors on a regular basis for lots like this one! This historic poster has everything going for it and it’s in Superb Museum Quality Condition!
