This poster for a Yardbirds’ show is more of the artist's magical surrealist imagination. Conklin's work often requires a closer look to get all of the picture. This was the Yardbirds last performance at the Fillmore. They would play their final show ever about a month later. This popular poster is a collector's favorite. When PAE was in San Francisco last year for the annual poster show we had several requests for this issue from visitors at our table. In March 2018 a similar graded SIGNATURE SERIES example reached $299 in our auction.
