Here we have one of the most favored Jimi Hendrix posters of all time. The seldom auction appearances of this rare issue compared to the thoudands of collectors who would like to own this piece is astounding.
This incredible collaboration between the two masters of the poster scene Victor Moscoso and Rick Griffin was created for a three show run at Winterland featuring The Jimi Hendrix Experience. These concerts were legendary with two performances each night. The recordings have been recently re-released in a huge boxed set.
It's only our fifth time offering this CGC Graded Original First Printing issue in our auction and only the third that has not been restored or conserved in any way. It's lots like this that deliver superb value to the collector. Available for less than the higher grades would command but the exact same eye appeal and 100% original with no restoration! A similar graded slightly higher 8.0 example reached $1265 in our September 2018 auction.
