Here we have only the SECOND CGC Graded example of this Original Grateful Dead poster we've ever offered! This image created for a benefit for the San Francisco Krishna Temple featured performances by The Grateful Dead Big Brother Moby Grape and readings by famed beat poet Allen Ginsburg. What a lineup! All the good vibes were real on this magical night in 1967.
It's amazing how affordable you can acquire a museum quality poster that is over 50 years old from the second year of the Avalon Ballroom. This beautiful 9.8 graded specimen is in Superb Museum Quality Condition with no visible flaws of any kind! In September 2018 a lower graded 8.5 example brought $259 in our auction. In any other collectibles market this poster would be worth many multiples of the previously sold 8.5 example. It will be interesting to see what premium the market attaches to this superior 9.6 example now!
