Here we have a lovely silver blue and black artist proof by Stanley Mouse featuring Ron "Pigpen" McKernan. It was produced in the mid-eighties as a tribute to the legendary founding member of The Grateful Dead the “Oldest Juveniles in the State of California”. This design is based on a famous 1960’s Herb Green photo and has been famously used as a t-shirt design once worn by Jerry Garcia onstage. At the bottom left of this test print Stanley Mouse wrote “Color Experiment” in grey ink. This is the first time we have offered this rare and historic print in our auction!
