Here we have a masterpiece by Victor Moscoso that is at the top of the list of the artist’s contributions to the Avalon Ballroom/Family Dog series. It was an early experiment by the artist in the use of opposing colors to create different effects. The poster is prominently displayed in The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. It's one of the classic images of 1960’s Psychedelic Poster Art and as such it has been widely displayed in major art museums throughout the world! In March 2018 a lower 6.5 graded example realized $443 in our auction. A classic design that still holds its own when it surfaces in public auction this example is super clean and 100% Original with no restoration!
