This is the FINEST CGC Graded example of this amazing poster to appear in our auction! The Early Avalon Ballroom posters from 1966 are the finest and most valuable of the entire Family Dog series. The print runs were low and the art was fresh and innovative. This poster features two great bands from Texas the groundbreaking psychedelic band 13th Floor Elevators and The Tex Mex/R& B innovators Sir Douglas Quintet.
The FD-24 is an absolutely great example of the early work of Mouse and Kelley and in many ways this poster is super conservatively graded! Museum Quality with sharp corners and no visible flaws of any kind it could have easily gotten a 9.6 or 9.8.
