The significance of Rolling Stone Magazine as it relates to the music and culture of the 1960’s is well known. The magazine was founded by Jan Wenner in 1967 and is still in publication today.

The collaboration between Ralph Steadman and Hunter S. Thompson in Rolling Stone was one of the milestones that propelled Rolling Stone to its noteworthy status as a mass market art and culture periodical.

This lot offers the original 1971 issues  of Rolling Stone (91 & 92) that introduced the world to Thompson’s classic work Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas  The book was  later published in 1972.
