Here we have an extremely rare Grateful Dead find dating back to 1971! This is an uncut proof sheet with eight handbills and sixteen business cards with names of band associates on the reverse: Rock Scully Sam Cutler Jon McIntire Alan Trist and others. The proof features the cover artwork for their 1971 live album release “Grateful Dead” referred to as “Skull & Roses” or “Skull Fuck”.
The handbills were distributed for general advertising and promotion of the album and the business cards were used by the Grateful Dead management and personnel. Includes Rock Skully the Dead's notorious first manager who was fired in 1984. This historic gem is uncut and in extremely great condition and best of all it’s SIGNED by Stanley Mouse! A virtually identical proof sold at another public auction for $2700.00 in 2008.
