1969–Three Large 1960’s Headshop Posters—PAE graded Near Mint 83

Here we have a lot of three original 1960’s head shop posters. These are genuine products of their time and real hand printed lithographs. The sixties saw an explosion in the production of so called “headshop posters” boutique prints incorporating psychedelic imagery and thematic elements including pacifism flower power shamanism and drug culture. This is a largely undiscovered and underappreciated market just waiting for the right collectors to capitalize.

The first poster is absolutely classic 1960’s from the phrase “Love is a Flower a Flower is Love” to the woman’s up hair do and the flower in it.

• Condition Details- There are 2 pinholes in each corner and one small piece of tape on the reverse. 

This piece includes nods to the peace movement with the doves and what appear to be magic mushrooms around the mandala style central image.

• Condition Details- There is a pinhole in each corner and one small piece of tape in each corner of the reverse. 

The final print is very typical of this genre of art. The artist packed lots of swirling detail into a kaleidoscopeing fractal design.
