This scarce original handbill features a photograph of The Charlatans taken by the famous photographer Herb Greene. Greene captured many Bay Area bands in the mid-late sixties such as the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. This piece advertises a run of shows at the historic Matrix venue.
The Matrix was a tiny club in San Francisco that held just 150 people. How many handbills could they have possibly produced for this event? Many collectors believe that original handbills graded 8.5 by CGC represent the best value in the marketplace today. See our blog dated 1/31/18 to learn why demand is currently skyrocketing.
