What a find! We are proud to present for the FIRST TIME in our auction this super rare Pacific Northwest original poster! This beauty was designed by Jim Blashfield for a show at the famous Masonic Temple in Portland.
Artist Jim Blashfield made several notable contributions to the famed Bill Graham numbered poster series. He also went on to become an internationally famous filmmaker who is responsible for several well know music videos and short films. The Blashfield piece being offered here is a MUST HAVE for advanced collectors and should not be overlooked as an important thread in the vast fabric of treasured artwork. Bright colors amazing historical significance and of course the obvious ultra-trippy design. Best of all this piece is in SUPERB Museum Quality Condition with no flaws whatsoever like it was produced yesterday!
This poster was produced for what turned out to be a cancelled concert since Arthur was busted the night before the gig in Phoenix AZ. It’s worthy to note the band Kaleidoscope also appearing on the bill. Kaleidoscope included founding member David Lindley who later created the band El Rayo-X and released numerous solo albums. An accomplished banjo player and multi-stringed-instrumentalist he has won acclaim across the nation as a session musician and all around great guy.
