This limited edition print is signed and numbered 188/250 in black & blue ink by the artist Brian Salvador Curley!
During late 1993 Nirvana embarked on their “In Utero” tour and their 2nd stop on the run was this Albuquerque Convention Center concert. Artist Brian Curley designed this wonderful limited edition print to promote the show and the image of the young alien is reminiscent of some early graphics for Sub Pop Records. Brian Curley was formerly a member of the band “27 Devils Joking” which opened for Nirvana earlier in their career.
It is IMPORTANT TO NOTE that there were ONLY 250 of these original limited edition prints produced. An extremely LOW number for such a popular band during this era of their popularity! We don’t come across Nirvana material that often because it can be so difficult to find which makes this example a real treat. There are tons of reprints of this kind of material out there but very few numbered limited edition prints still exist today.
This 188/250 example here is EXTRA special because it is personally SIGNED by the artist! More and more collectors are coming into the fold with the knowledge that artist signatures add a whole other dimension to their treasures.
