Here we have for the FIRST TIME in our auction a rare Savoy Brown poster from the famous Armadillo venue in Austin. This poster was designed by Ken Featherston and printed on white stock and goldenrod colored paper. Both versions are original pre-concert printings and this one here being the goldenrod variant. It exhibits interesting imagery including a flying guitar and a woman's behind. The design of the poster was dedicated to artist Ken Featherston's father.
Armadillio World Headquarters posters are currently enjoying top collector demand. This can be attributed to several reasons including scarcity historical significance as ground zero in the Texas psychedelic scene and the recently published book on the venue "Armadillio World Headquarters - A Memoir" by Eddie Wilson with Jesse Sublett and forward by Dave Marsh.
