Noted Artist Guy Juke designed this promotional campaign poster for one of the most unique south-west songwriters to ever grace a stage. Kinky Friedman’s country western career during the 70’s began to include social commentary maudlin ballads and raucous humor. In 2006 he ran for Governor of Texas as an independent receiving 12.6% of the vote and placed fourth in the six-person race.
