Everything changed for Janis Joplin in 1966 when she joined Big Brother and the Holding Company. That band because of her addition went on to become a major force in the emerging San Francisco psychedelic rock scene. In 1967 she quickly gained national attention after her performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. By 1970 little girl pearl had grown into a full-fledged sensation and was receiving top billing under her own name at large capacity venues. Later that year sadly this incredible talent was gone from this earth.


This is an amazing collection of vintage Janis Joplin photos and film contact strips from various places during various times of her short but magical career. No seasoned collector of Joplin material should be without this lot! There are 5 items in this lot listed below:
