This original Talking Heads COLBY Printing Cardboard Poster is being offered for the FIRST TIME in our auction! Talking Heads were one of the most original and entertaining bands of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. These 2 nights at the historic Greek Theatre were supporting the release of “Remain in Light” the Brian Eno produced masterpiece for this timeless band. We have never seen this “Once In A Lifetime” poster appear at public auction prior to this super clean mint specimen.
The historic Colby Poster Printing Company produced promotional material between 1948 and 2012 and they became legendary for their signature fluorescent inks and bold all-caps typography although none of the original staff had any formal design training. They were members of the letterpress union the screen printers union and the typesetters union. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.
