This is the FIRST appearance of this Original Program in our auction! The Grateful Dead headlined the Bickershaw Festival held in Lancashire. North West Arts Association promoted the 3 day event which featured a combination of West Coast and homegrown bands. Legend has it that Elvis Costello was in the audience and after witnessing the Dead’s performance he decided he had to form a band!
The festival line-up also featured the New Riders America Dr. John Donovan The Kinks Cheech & Chong Captain Beefheart Country Joe the Flamin' Groovies and more. This 34 page Original Program exhibits photographs artwork and also includes biographies on all the major performers. In addition there are several ads one being for the upcoming Lincoln Festival. Vintage Concert Programs from the 70’s are harder to find with each passing year. As quantities of available programs decrease the more collectible they become.
