We are pleased to offer this super rare Big Brother & The Holding Company postcard for the first time in our auction. This was Big Brother & Janis Joplin's first appearance in Chicago at the historic Cheetah Club. This was actually the same building for the Aragon Ballroom. In 1966 its name changed to The Cheetah for a brief time due to new management and then it returned to being the Aragon in June 1968.
The venue was one of the hottest places to play if you were an up & coming band in the late sixties. This postcard exhibits band's scheduled to perform through February and March of 1968. Very few original printing issues still exist today from this historic venue during the short time it was called The Cheetah. This scarce piece is sure to spark interest from collectors and enjoy spirited bidding.
