The artist only did a few posters for the Avalon but “Optical Occlusion” stands out because its bright color patterns remind us of some of the Neon Rose posters. As a Big Brother / Janis Joplin poster it has always been acquired by collectors and showcased in many fans’ treasure troves.
This piece of original art exhibited here is a testament to the final version and a tribute to Gomez’s most popular contribution to the poster world.
