The Pioneer Ballroom celebrated it’s grand opening on September 1 1966. This original handbill was produced for The Grateful Dead's run of two shows there just two weeks later. It's always facinating to find early Grateful Dead material like this collectible and it's even more exciting when they surface in original condition like they were produced yesterday! This ridiculously scarce handbill has a real primitive hand made look not to mention the cartoon Snoopy dog saying "Come see Suzy Creamcheese". Handbills from small venues like this one are near impossible to find in near mint condition this CGC authenticated specimen is a true wonder. Handbills are hot!
