This poster is signed in silver ink by the artist Randy Tuten!
The Hells Angels Motorcycle club was an integral part of the 1960’s counterculture. They were also known for throwing exciting parties. This poster is for one such event that occurred at Longshoreman’s Hall in 1971. The Macabre yet humorous advertisement for the event was created by Randy Tuten and is featured in The Art of Rock plate 4.13.
The one here is only the Third CGC graded example to appear at public auction. The black and white version (OP-2) of this issue is much more desirable and sought after than the full color version. The OP-2 like this one here seldom appears at auction. We sold a 9.8 example for a high water mark of $2427 on 2/12/17.
This CGC graded 2.5 example here should provide tremendous value for the collectors out there wanting to own this amazing piece without spending the high dollar amounts the mint copies command. And this one is signed by the artist!
