Attention collectors! Early Pink Floyd and The Who on the same poster! This is the FIRST CGC Graded Example of this issue to appear in our auction. A true rarity!
This 3 day festival was originally going to take place at a derelict site on Horton Road in Middlesex England. Due to logistical concerns the local council refused to grant a license so the organizers relocated the event to Plumpton Racecourse.
Unfortunately the momentum was lost the first night when the stage power shut off during The Soft Machine’s set. After an hour of silence the crowd grew restless and most fans fell asleep by the time Pink Floyd played. However they finished their set with a strong version of “Interstellar Overdrive”!
Many bands including The Who King Crimson and Noel Redding’s Fat Mattress also performed. Pink Floyd material is always at the top of the list for collectors. This very rare first printing poster is 100% original with NO restoration whatsoever!
