We are proud to offer yet another Hendrix Original Handbill for the FIRST TIME in our auction! This rarity was produced for a show Jimi was scheduled to play in Boston during September 1969. Having just performed at the legendary Woodstock Music Festival a couple weeks prior this Boston concert as well as his entire fall tour was cancelled. Jimi spent time in the studio working on new material and began his collaboration with bassist Billy Cox and Electric Flag drummer Buddy Miles. They soon-after called themselves “Band of Gypsys” and played the legendary Fillmore East on New Years Eve. Jimi Hendrix material is one of the most popular items in the collectible market today. This is a very scarce musical treasure with history & eye-appeal! Only our strict grading standards keep it from being a perfect mint piece!
