We have never offered this promo poster before now and we’ve only seen it available at public auction (or private sale) a small handful of times in the past 10 years!
This extremely LARGE original poster was folded into 18ths (to fit inside the record sleeve) and included in the 12” vinyl Promotional releases of Neil Young’s 1972 album Harvest. These special promo copies of the original release were sent by Reprise Records to local radio stations and distributors only. Very few were made which makes this item very rare and difficult to find. It is quite an image to behold in its large 37” x 67 1/2” tall size with beautiful artwork of Neil done by Tom Newsome. The logo from the album cover designed by Tom Wilkes is also exhibited towards to top of the piece.
This is the first time Reprise Records financed a large promotional poster to be distributed in one of their artist’s stamped “promo only” albums. Prior to 1972 most record companies including Reprise were not that invested in spending extra un-necessary funds on such over-the-top promo materials. Harvest though not well received initially by critics matured into a classic and became Neil Young’s most celebrated album of all time.

Condition Details - 100% Original with no restoration. 1 3/4” tear top edge 13 tack holes placed strategically around the edges several tears at the intersection of the vertical and horizontal factory creases from being folded into 18ths when distributed.
