The band SeaTrain initially included members of "Blues Project" in their formative years but soon added Peter Rowan and Richard Greene to the lineup. Deadheads know Rowan from his bluegrass work with Garcia in “Old & In The Way” and Greene played fiddle with Rowan in “Muleskinner” later in 1973. SeaTrain’s most popular years were 1970-1973. After Rowan and Greene joined the band they recorded two albums on Capitol Records in ‘70 and ‘71 using the legendary Beatles George Martin as producer. This super rare Capitol Records promo poster advertises their show at Auditorium Theater in May of 1972 after the release of their second album on the label called “The Marblehead Messenger”. We have never offered this issue before and it is sure to spark interest with music history buffs.
