This is only the SECOND CGC example of this issue to appear in our auction! It's also the FINEST CGC graded specimen of BG-12 we've ever handled! Wes Wilson created this poster for Van Morrison’s first appearance at the Fillmore and Bill Graham’s 12th show at the Fillmore. The Northern Irish R&B band “Them” was Van’s first vehicle for hit records and propelled him into the leading ranks of Blue Eyed soul legends. It’s a wonder this original poster could be preserved in this condition for over 40 years. With interest in classic 1960’s Psychedelic Concert Posters growing each day this piece is sure to make a fantastic addition to your collection!

Since the inception of PAE 10 years ago we have consistently advised collectors to focus on the first 30 issues of the Bill Graham series. History has proved our advise was correct then and we are sticking with it now. These early issues from the first year of the Fillmore Auditorium enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply of high quality examples. We believe they represent amazing values at current price levels.
