The poster is super bright with razor sharp corners and no pinholes cuts nicks tears or restoration of any kind. Exceedingly difficult to find in this state of preservation – what would have previously been described as DEAD MINT! We had a CGC 9.4 graded (Unsigned) example realize $1852 on 1/8/17 in our auction. This example here is a higher 9.6 grade and SIGNED by the artist Wes Wilson! Since the inception of PAE 10 years ago we have consistently advised collectors to focus on the first 30 issues of the Bill Graham series. History has proved our advise was correct then and we are sticking with it now. These early issues from the first year of the Fillmore Auditorium enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply of high quality examples. We believe they represent amazing values at current price levels.
This example here bears a stamp at the bottom left corner which reads "Associated Students INC. San Francisco State College" in purple ink. SFSC Hut T-1 was often listed at the bottom of early BG original posters as a location to purchase tickets. This poster was apparently stamped by the Associated Students Inc department of the college as an additional location. Few of the numbered BG posters surfacing these days have this particular addition which makes this piece even more desirable.
