We are proud to offer this super rare handbill for the first time in our auction. This was Big Brother & the Holding Company’s first appearance in LA at the historic Cheetah Club. The venue was one of the hottest places to play if you were an up & coming band in the late sixties. Frank Zappa discovered the “Alice Cooper Band” there in August 1967 and signed them to his label. Pink Floyd played there that same year as one of their first US gigs. And …Janis Joplin played there and she is beautifully represented on this original handbill from that show! Very few original printing issues still exist today from this historic venue in ANY condition. This scarce piece is sure to spark interest from collectors and enjoy spirited bidding. Handbills are RED HOT as reported in our blog dated 5/18/18. Read it to learn more!
