Supergroup CSNY only performed a few dozen shows during 1969 and material from this early era is always highly desirable. This original handbill was for a show in Santa Barbara which took place around the time they were recording their studio album “Déjà vu”. Two days prior they had just recorded the well known Neil Young song “Helpless” which appeared on that album. We’ve never seen this handbill come through our doors before and considering how scarce CSNY material is from their short tours during this era it’s unlikely we’ll see this piece again. This example was on display at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles during an exhibition in 2014 called "California Dreamin': The Sounds of Laurel Canyon 1965 - 1977. Included with this lot is the letter (see photo) from the Grammy Museum dated 8/7/15. Handbills are now red hot! Read our blog dated 5/18/18 for more details!
