During the boon of psychedelic rock Sausalito became a hangout for many of the Bay Area bands. After they finished their main gigs they would pop over the Bridge and play late night sets at the Ark. The venue was a favorite destination for these shows as it was the only venue open late.  The Ark was only open for a short time but many of the SF bands played there including Big Brother Steve Miller and Santana.

This poster was created for a 1969 show at The Ark in Sausalito. The show featured Big Brother with support from Jack the Ripper.  The central image of the poster is an orange nude with purple hair in the style of Art Nuevo posters.
