The “Sound” was Bill Graham’s own description of what was going on musically in San Francisco in October of 1966. Artist Wes Wilson used Bill's words as the inspiration for this classic Fillmore poster. This poster is very large and thus difficult to find in undamaged condition. In December 2017 a slightly higher 9.6 graded example realized $558 in our auction. This 9.0 example is super clean. We believe this poster is super conservatively graded and could easily have earned a designation a notch or two higher.
