Wow! This poster is AMAZING. It promotes a Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane concert; the historic first show at The Kaleidoscope which was a Los Angeles concert venue that presented their acts “in the round”. Thus the promoters for the venue decided to create round posters for each of the concerts that were promoted there.
Number 1 is the most important number in every collectibles market due to their historical importance. Seek out our blog dated 1/25/2010 for more on this subject. Accordingly this is a poster that always gets massive attention whenever it appears at public auction. This is only the SECOND CGC graded example of this original poster to EVER appear at public auction. This lot is nicer than the PAE graded 97 example we sold for $2887 in January 2017.
