1969—Avalon Ballroom— Santana –PAE graded Mint “97”

Here’s a poster that was created for Soundproof productions when they started promoting concerts at the Avalon Ballroom after the Family Dogs’ occupancy.  This wonderful design by the late Bob Fried announced San Francisco native Santana as headliner.  Within six months of this show Santana would be propelled into relative stardom after their stellar performance at the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival .It has been announced recently that the original Santana lineup is going to be recording together for the first time in decades.
