This is the first CGC graded example of this version of this original Family Dog handbill to appear in our auction! Author and Poet Edgar Allen Poe graces this grey and coral on white Avalon Ballroom handbill for a 1966 run of concerts Country Joe and the Fish headlined.
These posters and handbills were printed twice before the concerts took place. The first run exhibited the wrong dates for the shows so another run of pressings were made to advertise the correct dates. Both versions are original pre-concert first printings however the ones with the incorrect dates are more scarce and collectible because there were fewer produced. This handbill displays the incorrect date for the shows and is much harder to find! Don't let this one get away!
